The Béal festival, which will take place in Dublin in November, will be a two-day series of events intended to bring together the newest developments in music and text. There will be concerts, open rehearsals and poetry readings. The full range of possibilities in choral and vocal music will be on show, with performances by Milltown Chamber Choir and Orla Flanagan, Elizabeth Hilliard and Paul Roe, featuring amongst others works by Catherine Walsh, Maurice Scully and Billy Mills, Gráinne Mulvey, Jonathan Nangle and Laura Kilty. The events will take place in Smock Alley Theatre and the Chapel of Trinity College, Dublin. We gratefully acknowledge support from Arts Council Small Festivals Scheme and Trinity College Dublin.
